“The Cleanup Lady Makes It All Better” is a hilarious new Cinderella story in which Delphia, an AI investment system, spirals out of control, causing millions in teacher retirement funds to vanish and driving the CEO to madness. It falls to Sophy, a refugee who cleans the office, to try mop up the mess. Can the cleanup lady save the day? Inspired by the reckless antics of investment managers and the chaotic rise of artificial intelligence, this satirical play dives into themes of arrogance, sexism, bigotry, romance, and redemption—all in under an hour. Brought to life by the award-winning team of playwright Clay Farris Naff and director Jeanne Saadi, “The Cleanup Lady” will grace the stage at Omaha's beautiful Benson Theatre from August 9-11, 2024.
